Post by: wil.hamilton on July 26, 2009, 08:06:26 PM
Here is a video of my first run at the 2009 Mobot (Mobile Robot) Race at Carnegie Mellon.  My team placed second.

locomotion was provided by 4 GM8 motors
for sensors i used an array of IR emitter/detectors

Nice robot. its small turning radius was genius. Might I ask what microcontroller you used?

Ah I keep hearing good things about that board. Right now I use the parallax basic stamp as that was what my high school taught me to use. But I may try that board for college in the fall

i highly recommend it.  it's just an all around great board, decent number of IO, and plenty fast.  not to mention the amount of documentation/support there is for it
