Just heard this on the news:

I hope no SoR members are stranded, houses swept away, etc
(Not that I know anyone in California, i'm just concerned :-\)

Voyager

Edit: changed title (see below)

Thanks for the concern, Voyager. It's already over, though :)

3 days of less-than-idea weather and SoCal is crying about the end of the world. I'm glad it happened, though - local mountains got a nice dump of snow right before my ski trip next week!
The only way to top an upright screen, keyboard, and mouse is to eliminate the need for humans to touch a PC at all. Oh, hello there Mr. Robot... what would I like you to do, you ask?

It was raining down here like there was no tomorrow! I haven't seen so much rain in the valley in years! I was far from the danger, myself, but it was upsetting to see where it hit hardest on the news. :'(

In any case, I'm glad its long gone too. I was getting tired of wet weather. Besides all that rain makes it impossible to work on my robotics projects in front of the garage. I'd work inside the garage but its loaded with clutter. Once I have my own place, I'd like to have a garage just dedicated as a robotics workshop. Oooh, yeah!
I think the chauffeur did it.

.......

He did.

It makes you think more when it is close to home barely 1,500km away!

With the floods in Brisbane the Australian dollar is set to drop which is not good when it comes to buying robot parts. But i am grateful i still have a robot to work on and an area to do it!

I know seriously, they call Australia the Lucky country. But a year ago half of Australia was burn't away and now I have a giant swimming pool in my backyard (I live in Brisbane)

Luckily none of my family was hurt but the death toll at the moment is at 15 or so.
Ah well I can still work on my robots>  :)

We really are copping it bad this summer .southern Queensland is still under water as is a lot of northern NSW and Victoria is copping floods now,,  Next month we will probably have bush fires if the country is not to water logged ..

There are still some people missing and I have some friends in QLD that I cannot contact , I have no idea where they are or if they are OK

I can only hope
