Akihabara (in Japan), 2 new robot shops
« on: May 30, 2009, 08:52:54 PM »
I just heard that Akihabara got two new robot shops.

That brings it to a total five of them now:

http://www.technologia.co.jp/
http://robot.tsukumo.co.jp/
http://www.robospot.jp/
http://www.rt-net.jp/ (link appears dead, but google says its ok)

Now if I ever stop canceling my trip to Japan, maybe I'll even visit them all (like a teenage girl in Mall of America)! :P

Admin,

Do any of these shops carry your Axon board? I would like to get one locally since I don't have a CC (here in Japan) so I have limited means of paying.

Regards,
Rommel

Nope.

Unfortunately Japanese robot builders mostly only buy Japanese - they don't really associate themselves with us gaijin :P

I *might* go to Japan in ~4 months, in which case I'll bring one, but don't think I'll be going.

Another option would be Western Union.

No WU here in Japan.
I'll just wait for a trip back to the US :-)
