Help with choice of robotics software
« on: September 17, 2013, 07:45:48 AM »
I am new in the area of robotics and was hoping to find some freeware robotics software (or a trial/demo) that would enable me to design simple spatial manipulators and then move them around in 3D space. (I'm not interested in making complicated 3D models)

I have tried googling and due to the vast amount of software available (and my lack of expertise) I'm finding it very difficult to find what I need.

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions/advice?

Get Inventor, it allows You to model and simulate almost any solid mechanical system. Also, it's free for students :)
