I really need help asap! I want to know if I can skip the photoresistor sensor part and instead only do the IR RangeFinder? Would it make too big of a difference? Do I have to change the programming?! Please help ASAP!

ASAP!!!
Not for any of us on the forum.
But to answer you question:
You will have to change or re-write the program to use a different sensor.

it depends on the purpose, if there is no need for you, you can skip it, cause each sensor has its specific purpose.
