Title: 50$ Robot Parts Question?
Post by: yankeefan238 on February 03, 2009, 07:13:52 PM
I just got all of my parts for the 50$ robot and I noticed that my sharp IR sensor didn't come with a cable to connect it to my robot. Which cable do i need to get to connect my sensor to my robot? I also ordered a 28 DIP socket and I realized that it was too big for my micro-controller to fit into. I am going to order another one from mouser and I need to know how I can find the right sized one? I really need to stop ordering the wrong parts... The 7 dollar shipping is killer...

Digikey has $3 shipping for orders under 8oz (half a pound)

Thanks razor concepts! I found a connector for the sharp IR and now I just need to know what 28 pin DIP socket I need because I don't want to pick out the wrong size again.

In the description make sure it is the .3" wide one, I made that mistake also and got the big .6" wide socket.
