Looking for Robot Chassis Design
« on: October 20, 2015, 02:00:08 AM »
Hi,

I am building a robot after few years and looking for help related to building the chassis. The plan is to design a two wheeled robot and a supporting castor on the bottom layer. The motors are normal BO gear motors while the caster is a caster wheel (not the one with a ball, but the one as shown in the image).

The top layer should be able to hold an arduino, a servo for HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor. The wheels should be able to hold an encoder. (the one which we get from Chinese chassis with slots between a circular acrylic disk).

Electronics and Programming is fine, but for the chassis, I am looking for any available cad drawing which can be shared with a laser cutter specialist and get it cut.

So, am here to ask if anyone has a cad or pdf drawing of chassis which can help me get this done. Tried doing it with Sketchup, but encoder disk seems to be problem to get precise cut to fit the motor shaft.

Anybody who can share the drawings will be of great help. BTW, I am not looking for readymade solutions for chassis. I need to design one, or atleast get one cut in a laser cutter and do it myself.

Thanks,
Praveen

 ;D Hello!
I do not have any CAD drawings, but a member in this forum might. If you send a message to
Kobratek, he may be able to help you. Good Luck!!! ;) :) :D ;D
