Using it underwater and wonder if I will get any reflections off the clear plastic dome or tube?
Has anyone played with cameras looking through domes or through side of tube.
Do I need to keep the camera close to the materail or what is best?

You won't get reflections unless there is a light source inside the dome. The major problem you might have however is called fish eyes . . . just google it up.
You might also have a fogging problem.
