Hey. Does anyone know if import duties still apply if you get a package sent as a gift from somewhere in the world?

I think it depends on which country

from where to where


If i recall correctly free samples are declared as gifts on the package to avoid duties
Check out the Roboduino, Arduino-compatible board!

I think there's a different policy for samples. Even though they are gifts, technically, everything i received as a sample was labeled as "electronic sample - no resale value".

I'll have to check with local laws though. I was hoping someone would knew this for Romania.
