Finally a video I get to show from my job at the Navy
« on: June 09, 2010, 03:53:49 PM »
For the first time for me, a project I work on has been approved for public release, and here's a video report on it.

FYI, I am either in every cut-scene, or operating the robot in the cut-scene. I was interviewed, but it got cut out :-(.

Enjoy.

Very nice robot indeed. Which part of design you have worked in ? Autonomy, navigation, hardware components ?

I'm a hardware guy. That particular system was bought off the self, but i keep it running while the egg-head software guys keep trying to add automation to it.

I will tell you it's a blast to be remote operating a $300k 8' boat a mile away with a Logitech USB gamepad.

Anyone want to work for the Navy as well? They're hiring!!
