Title: help to make a rc racing car

i am a newbie and interested in making a remote controlled racing car.
can anyone help me.
step by step guide will be highly appreciated.

buy a 2 channel radio preferably fm with a ground frequency (see admins RC tutorial). get a 2 motor speed controller and two motors or servos. With servos you will not need a speed controller. the picture below might help. this pic is for a battlebot so you will not need some of the stuff but it will give you an idea of how to wire it. vantec is a brand of speed controller that is very expensive you will not need the team delta E switch

with a speed controller does it enable you to control like ps2? like more than just full speed and stop?

a speed controller allows you to do variable speeds in between just stop and go. Servos have built in speed  control.
