the wires i got for the $50 robot are very stiff but the wires that came with the servors are like stirng were do i get these wires?

If you go to Home Depot, Ace, or Lowes they should have those wires. Just ask them for circuit board wires and that should be close to the ones the servo's have.

around 20 gauge is the general sized wires for that amount of current, but don't use wires that small for loads over an amp.

The kind of wire used with the servos is called stranded wire.

servo wire is 26 gauge I think. I smallest that radio shack sells is 22 gauge. you have to go to an electronics shop that specializes in component electronics, not consumer electronics like radio shack.
also, solid core will be stiff, where stranded core is flexible

You can also search eBay for 'servo wire'. I bought a 3m length of 3 core wire (red/black/white) which I can cut to the correct length.

ok,now what number of wire do i use for the $50 robot's senors,batterys etc

Id use stranded core 24 gauge wire in red black and yellow for your sensors

Anything >20 gauge should be good enough for most hobby electronics works. You really don't have to pick a specific one. Stranded is good if you're soldering, solid core is a must for breadboarding.
Radioshack should have all the wires you need (but they are a bit expensive). Still, a spool (~ 5 bucks) will last you a while.
