Title: robot colony - CMU Robotics Club
Post by: Admin on May 04, 2007, 07:38:33 PM
On my most recent trip to Pittsburgh to compete in the annual MOBOT races (http://www.societyofrobots.com/competitions_mobot.shtml) I got to check out the latest robots being worked on at the CMU Robotics Club (http://www.roboticsclub.org).

What you see in this video is their colony robot project. These neat little bots are controlled by one central hive mind, they each have various IR sensors and tactile sensors, and can self recharge when needed. I believe they are still working on the ability to herd cute little gerbils around . . .
