NINA Version 1.0
« on: November 05, 2010, 04:28:01 PM »
Finished the articulation for NINA, the robot I've been building for three years. There's still more work to be done, but she's more or less fully operational. She tracks faces, shakes hands, waves hello, among other things.

I actually had her on display at the door front last Halloween where NINA had a line of trick-or-treaters forgetting completely about the candy and wanting to shake hands with the robot. Permitting the venue will allow it, I'm going to try to have her on display at the local autism conference in February (NINA is an experimental "social machine," or a robot made to help assist communication skills with those on the autism spectrum--particularly Asperger Syndrome).
I think the chauffeur did it.

.......

He did.
