Help please - my head hurts!
« on: August 08, 2010, 09:44:17 AM »
Hello all.
Firstly please excuse my ignorance in all thinks electronic and programming, and have patience with me while I learn.
I've built my version of John's Photovore, and have installed the Axon II.
I managed to compile, using the tutorial, the photovore example code with AVRStudio sucessfully.
I have managed to upload the hex file to the Axon using fboot.
I have not connected the 2 photo sensors to the board, but have connected the 2 modified (continuous running) servos to pins L0 and H6 (?).
When I turn on the battery, the LED lights up, but nothing happens.
Do I have to modify the sample code to tell it which pins I have connected my servos to? (I'm assuming without the sensors fitted, both servos should run forwards).
Can anyone please point me in the right direction, or what to look for?

I the only thing I can think of is batteries. Do a quick battery test and see if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, Danno ;)
I have a 6v 3300Mah pack and it checks out at 6.37V, so that seems OK.

OK.
I've actually got it running in the right direction now, by plugging the servos on to pins 2 and 14, so at least I know it runs in default.
Now I need to know where to plug in the 2 photoresistors, so I can test it properly.
Sorry if I am "a bit slow". (SD ::))
