Need help with wireless switch idea
« on: September 03, 2009, 09:16:56 AM »
Ya i am trying to create my own little chip that i can program wireless with IR or something like that it does not have to be long range just about 15 ft will do, all i want it to do is turn on and off a connection using well i forgot what its called but it is used to keep a current flowing or stopping it...

Any ideas on what i can use guys?

And would this work as a IR Receiver?

No datasheet and not even a pinout - I'd stay clear of that one (and the shop as well).

Get your stuff at a shop where they support their stuff by providing datasheets at the very least.

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?

Hi,

What?
15 feet is only like 3 m. 15 m should be quite reachable without even trying, 25 m is attainable with a little sweat and using lenses and parabolic reflectors (and skillfull aiming), 1.5 km is possible.
Now try that with Bluetooth ;)
