Title: Looking for gige zoom camera
Post by: dimracer on April 04, 2013, 07:38:01 AM
Hello, I'm looking for small GigE zoom camera with resolution 800x600 or higher for a mobile robot. The most gige cameras are designed for scientific applications. They have high resolution matrices and high speed shutter. And they are very expensive. And you should the variofocal lenses mount on it. It increases dimensions and cost of it.
Block cameras like sony http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-industrialcameras/cat-block/ (http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-industrialcameras/cat-block/)  , are more suitable for this application. They have motorized zoom lenses wih autofocus. But they do have analog output signals and special VISCA interface to control the camera. And we should place special expensive oem boards (like this http://www.intertest.com/cameras/16788-f-ishot-xblock-gige-ip-network-interface-board-kit-for-sony-hd-eh6300-block-camera (http://www.intertest.com/cameras/16788-f-ishot-xblock-gige-ip-network-interface-board-kit-for-sony-hd-eh6300-block-camera)) to provide signals from it and to control the camera. Are there cheaper gige zoom cameras with zoom in one block?
