Low voltage tank robot

Hi everyone,
Haven't been back in a few years but I got my robot done. It really impressed a lot of people including my dad who didn't believe I was the one that made it.
I've resided to do a much better version of it and fix several of the issues I had with my original idea.
This time I want to make it using the tamiya tank set such as
http://www.pololu.com/picture/view/0J1425
I want to run the whole circuit including driving the motors at 3.3V will that be possible or will I need 5V?
The motors run at that voltage but I'm worried about the torque being to weak to move the tank.
Thanks.

Are your motors geared?
If not they probably wont have enough torque to drive the wheels/tracks alone.
If you are using the Tamiya differential drive set you should be OK...
Be careful though, some customers had problems with it!

Yeah I'll be using that dual gear motor at the higher gear ratio.

Should be fine.
If you have problems try the low gear ratio.
