For my line following robot it appears that my QRD1114 sensors are measuring distance instead of color! Here's my schematic:

Hi,
QRD1114 is a reflective sensor (less distance, more signal), not a colour sensor.

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...

you will notice a difference in reading depending upon the color of the target object, but its difficult to differentiate wether the change is due to color or distance as both of these are a factor of ir sensors
