servo control problems

i have two joinmax digital servos....

ive been doing everything i can do get these sucker to work but they just wont. No matter what pulse i put into it it just rotates left trying to spin right around. 1.5ms high and 20ms low doesnt work. ive tried all kinds of pulse and periods. ive tried hardware and software pwm.
ive tried hooking the servo up to 5v and 6v. i want to smash these damn things.
i got a pic18f4520.
is there something im missing?
any help is appreciated.

lol so stupid, forgot common ground. now its working. i was up till frigging 10am this morning dinking with these damn things
