Newbie Camera question

My idea is to build a robot with a camera. I am building a robot with the microcontroller of the 50$ one. I am a complete newbie to this, so my question is how does one actually draw an image on the computer screen of the input from the camera?

So, you want the robot to act on what it sees, or just send it to a pc screen?
Two very different things...
If the first option, take a look at

Its earlier stages used the $50 board with a camera.
If you just want it displayed on a screen then just get a wireless camera.
