on off switch for battery

Hi !
I am currently looking for an on off switch for my battery's i bought this from radioshack:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062486#tabsetBasic
Could some tell me how to connect it(what's the circuit?) or suggest something better?
i just need something that would let the power flow trough or be stopped(turning the motors off)
Tell me if it depends on what battery I'm using!
Regards

You would wire the middle terminal to your battery and either of the side poles to where the battery goes to.

Hi,
That switch is a center off. A plain 2 position switch
like this
would be better.
(The one you link to is out of stock btw).

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
