Hi everyone!
I need some advice on the construction materials I should use for a double inverted pendulum. I actually made a related post about this project of mine earlier in the electronics subforum:
http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=14659.msg107010#msg107010
Right now, the biggest fear is that my "manufacturing" quality will not be high enough for reliable operation of the inverted double pendulum (i'll say IDP). as i mentioned in my prior post, I don't have access to huge workshops, just the power of the internet and a few hundred bucks of spending money at most. Where should I start?
Thanks for the help!

Well, if You need something simple and cheep, then get 2x wooden/plastic/metal (depending on weight You need) poles/pipes and connect them with turntable bearing - here's Your double pendulum.

Take a trip to your local hardware store and lumber yard. Browse what they have with an image what your pendulum would look like. There should be plenty of things that are usable.
