PING Ultrasonic - make noise?

When using the PING ultrasonic sensor, can you hear clicking or any kind of noise?

Main thing is to not read the sensor too fast. Ultrasound continues bouncing around for a while. So don't read quicker than, say, every 50ms else your current reading may get a bounce from an earlier ping.
