Build a Vision Line Following Robot Chassis

Hello Everybody ,

I am now working on my line following robot that uses a CMUcam as its main sensor. I am looking to build my own chassis and was wondering which motor gearboxes you'd suggest .  I'd like the gearboxes to last a long time and also I would like to operate them at 6V.

There isn't any significant weight on the robot ,but one thing that requires more torque is that the robot must be able to go up a 25 degree ramp.
The total weight of the payload (not including gearboxes) is around 8 ounces.

Also I do not want to use servos because they are too slow.

Can anyone help me find a better gearbox then the one mentioned?

OK so I calculated RMF for the robot when it is on the 25 degree ramp:
RMF - 0.595 lb*ft*rps
Momentum - 0.400  lb*ft*s
Motor Rotation Speed- 0.637 rps

When it is off the ramp it only needs an RMF value of 0.0212 lb*ft*rps, meaning it will go extremely fast when there isn't any incline ( which is good , )

lol , I like to do many projects at once . That way if I get frustrated with one project ,I take a break from it and go on to the other one.  I'll make a post about my projects actually.

I think you mean DC motors with an attached gearbox

As for those GM9 Gear Motors, I hear they have a short lifetime . . . but can't remember where I read that
