servo problem

ok i got the microcontroller to work and i started to motife the servo, but when i have to remove the part in the gear that houses the pot head, in the picture it is a ring but on mine it is all one piece. what should i do?

are you saying the rectanglly part is built into the gear? the easiest would be to drill it out to make it circle...
alternatively you can cut the pot head off but thats another story...
can you post pics?

no, the metal ring in the gear is all one piece of plastic
