My first robot build!!!

Hey guys i posted in the mechanics and construction about a build I was doing for competition figured I would put up the progress so far.  It is no where near done though so its pretty bare and the robotic arm is no attached and the battery is almost dead so my apologies.  Any suggestions would be very helpful.

By the way I am completely new to this so It may not be the best.   I am not driving it here my teammates who are also new at this are driving.

How is it controlled? with a normal radio control set or bluetooth/wifi etc.?
