does this robot actually sense the throw of the ball and its location? or is it just adjusted to hit in the same spot repetitively?

Looks like the shootic machine is somehow connected to the batting robot, so its made with an exact time between one of the "robots" shoot the ball and to the other hit it. Or maybe the whole thing is radio controlled. Because if it had something with time to do i would gess the hit would be more alike eachother every time, only the wind makeing some differense!
