flah memory write and read and lcd programming

I am using 16x2 lcd screen.I want to display different strings of variable lengths.I have taken an arrayp[26]={'A','B' -----so on till 'Z'}.I want that when I press a key on the keypad, an alphabet should be selected and displayed on the screen.After displaying it should be write and  read at location (0xFF01) of flash memory.Now again I select another alphabet ,write it & read it and display at next location.Likewise ,I select 3-4 alphabets and forma a string which gets displayed on the lcd.
