A short video showing my robot scanning over a range of 45. Distance data is gathered using a Sharp GP2D12 infra-red analogue distance sensor.

It looks like you are only collecting data during one direction, why not collect data both directions and not waste the time?

Thanks for the comment.  It's very much experimental, but I will get it to scan in both direction.
