any tips

Hi I just got into robot building. I am pretty young for robot building and I was wondering if anyone had any tips?

Don't be afraid to experiment and fail. You can learn more from your mistakes and struggles than you would from getting it right the first time. Also go fuse crazy. I fried quite a few micros, IC's, and encoders in the beginning. Also taking apart "junk" can get you a lot of the basics to build your own robot.
