Help me find a good kit

(1/1)

RedHookRusty:
Ok so ive been skeptical about going the extra mile(money mile) to buy a humanoid robot. I've been looking on the net and it seems like every servo company and their grandma has one.SO what I'd like to know is what i shoud get. These are the ones that have caught my eye in order of what i like the most.

Bioloid Comprehensive kit-retail price- $850

I use the Bioloid kit, and I think its great, for a number of reasons:

- servos are on a serial bus, and can be daisy-chained
- high torque servos (200 oz-in)
- servos respond with position, speed, temperature, voltage, etc
- serial bus is expandable - you can make your own sensors/actuators as bus devices

You can see what I'm working on here:
