Titan the Robot is the stage name of an android costume[1][2] created by Cyberstein Robots Ltd in 2004,[3] operated both physically and electronically by a human performer.

Wiki sauce
It's a robot costume, but without the human inside it doesn't move.

In the Mk5 version of titan he uses sensing instrumentation a high resolution 3D imaging camera is mounted next to a spectrometer which is located behind a two way mirror in the chest this can identify he variations in color and shape enabling the robot to tell the difference between a reed or a blue coat and act accordingly without he operators say so.

thats what it says Tongue

For such a hefty, brutish looking robot (or robot costume), it sure has a dainty walk.

Ok my theory on how they did it...

Its a puppet and a robot the website says its controlled by a suit. So behind the scenes there is a guy and a space identical to the platform he is on. That guy can operate some functions such as scripted voice and head movements but walking and interaction are done remotely with a monitor. There is a camera in the chest per second video. Walking may be remote controlled instead of Waldo suit controlled because it is so simple and self correcting. The arms are probably controlled by a suit along with head motion. Funny way to turn robotics into cash Smiley

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titan_the_Robot

Read this article. I know it's Wikipedia, but check the sources at the bottom of the page. It is a man in a suit, albeit one of the cooler, more advanced robot suits out there.
