As owner of many irobot roombas and scoobas, it's all fun and games till it enters the 'I think I'm stuck on something' state. I've watched mine try to unstick themselves from hang ups on furniture and rugs, and heaven forbid if it every got stuck up on a kitten there will be fur everywhere.

It revs up and floors it full ahead and reverse, back and forth, and those are some strong motors when they want to be. Add that to the spiky rubber tires and you have found a new way to skin a cat.

ya as cute as it is i cringed at the thought of one of the kitties getting it's paw cought between those counters and the struggling robot. apparently they activate it themselves by accident when they all pile on to sleep on it.

BERLIN — A cat home alone in Germany apparently turned on the vacuum cleaner, frightened itself half to death and wound up being attended to by emergency services. Police in the Bavarian city of Bayreuth said a neighbor heard the cat’s cries — not to mention a vacuum left running for hours — and feared there’d been a terrible accident.

The fire service sped to the scene Monday evening, but found only the cat and the machine.

A police statement Tuesday said the emergency call wasn’t entirely in vain, though, because “at least the cat could be calmed down.”
