get an ESC (electronic speed controler) plug one end into servo port and plug the motor and battery in the required places
Problems making the $50 robot circuit board?

I just posted a tutorial about a robot built from VCR parts and a microcontroller. It also has a H bridge to drive 2 DC motors, so this is the way to do it if you can't find servos.
You can find the tutorial here: http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/29
Check out the uBotino robot controller!
