Nice work for the first one :)
2 servos for each leg is a good optimal configuration.
But I dont know whether u hv explored the possibility of various gaits feasible even on this basic design.

1) Walk forward and reverse
2) Strafe sideways both ways
3) Turn both sides

If u do try it out share the videos :)
