Programming Atmega8 using Ponyprog - fuse settings?
« on: June 11, 2007, 04:46:40 PM »
I have started building the $50 robot and am currently going to program the AVR. I have read in a separate article on Atmega8 programming, using Ponyprog, that there are some fuse settings to be set (external clock settings and brown-out enabling). However there is no reference to these settings on the tutorial.

 Are these settings important?   ???

To build a fully function $50 Robot, no fuse setting changes are needed.

I rarely change fuse settings, they tend to be for more specialized applications . . .
