Your Physics text book, Google and Wiki all have the needed information.

Key words for searches:
Force Diagram
moment arm
torque

You will need to start with a diagram of a leg then draw in all of the Forces and Moment arms before calculations.

As you may have found out, a four-legged walking robot is statically indeterminate. In order to find the force on all four legs at any particular time, you will need to use knowledge of Mechanics of Materials. You can analyze the forces on the robot while one leg is up in the air, no problem, but with all four on the ground, there is no way to solve it statically.
