chip shopping - 54+Mbps transceiver
« on: March 21, 2011, 02:47:01 PM »
Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with WiFi communication. I'm working on a project where we're trying to send camera images through a WiFi link that can connect to most wireless routers. Our preference is to use the highest speed data transfer rate available, but I've only been able to find chips with a max data rate of 250kbps. Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: It doesn't have to be WiFi anymore, now anything goes, as long as it's greater than 54Mbps data rate. I did find a few RF front end chips @ 2.4Ghz so I'm trying to calculate the max data rate I can get out of a custom 'bare bones' RF circuit.
