Brazil vs USA Robogames 2011 Autonomous Championship
« on: April 23, 2011, 10:25:36 AM »
Robogames 2011 was really packed this year.  It was a great event with many amazing robots.  This year the autonomous combat division had a number of good competitors from Brazil,. Mexico and the USA.  Otto, who won last year was not able to compete due to technical difficulties.  The championship came down to Mini-Toro+ from Brazil vs The Peanut Tin of Terror.

This is the third time I have done this and the progress is really striking.  The first time I competed the robots could barely control themselves and were not really very dangerous.  Not this time-- if Peanut Tin had caught Mini Toro in his sonar a bit sooner he might have turned in time.  Unfortunately the results of facing the wrong way were quite devastating.
