Simple on/off
« on: May 09, 2011, 10:35:07 PM »
I'm building a simple robot and just want to test out the motors/see how fast it will go. So if I have a 6V battery can I just hook it up to the motor with an on/off switch or do I need to regulate the voltage?

I plan on using 2 of these: http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1095
And 4 AA batteries soldered in series.

Thanks for the help!

Nope, no regulation needed.  Just put your 6V straight into the leads and it should work fine.
