designe a wifi board via wifi module and avr..to send and recieve data

i have a rs232 to wifi module  .my module have rs232 level voltage.i have question if anyone can help me please.i want to design a wifi board with this module and atmega16 micro ...so that this board send or receive data.when i bought this module some sofware and code also was with it.like some mcu source code.i do not know have should i write my avr code for micro?should i write an usart comminucation only and include this mcu code on it?or no..can u help me please please??
