Replacement Components
« on: June 24, 2007, 10:43:33 AM »
I don't have a transistor that i need for a circuit. What should i look for in the datasheets to compare and find a suitable replacement transistor? Is it important in most circuits to match the components well, or is it not so essential?

Thanks

[Edit] - The component i want to find a replacement for is the BC547 NPN transistor and i want to know if a BC337 will be suitable.

Hi,

The BC337 is quite a good replacement for a BC547, as it handles much more current.

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
