Piezo micro motors
« on: June 07, 2011, 08:44:07 AM »
I just stumbled upon this and thought this would be awesome for a small laser's zoom/focusing.  Does anyone know if these are for sale or how much they cost?

Nice motors! I was browsing that site and found this one for $125

I have actually used a floppy drive motor for a couple of projects. It's very small and has a 1" threaded shaft for linear movement.
Knowledge does not weigh.

these things are really cool but i wonder how they hold up over time. I bet vibrations kill it.
