Trouble with the com port (axon 2)
« on: June 22, 2011, 05:57:45 AM »
This is all from the 50$ robot tutorial based on the bootlogger (fboot gui)
Hey, I'm having a little trouble attempting to test the USB. The com status of the chip is com port 5 but the bootlegger we are using only accepts 1-4. Is there anyway to upload to 5 or to change it's com port status? I tried changing the input area, (from front of computer to back) but it seems to remember the chips com port???

Very frustrated

Is this on a PC running Windows?
If yes then in Device Manager select the port that is coming up and open its properties. Select the Port Settings tab and click the Advanced.. button. Use the drop-down to change the COM Port Number to an unused number in the range 1 to 4.
