Bluetooth or Xbee?

Hey I've been wanting to make a quad for a while now and I wanted to know what type of communications should I use. I don't think Wifi will be good because it would be pretty slow, and I wanted to be able to control it with my iPhone and joystick. My iPhone is jailbroken, so no restrictions there.
