Okay im looking for a software were I can tell me robot to do something like stay and it would respond back by saying yes, sir.

What you want is speech-to-text programs...  dragon speach http://www.nuance.com/naturallyspeaking/ would do it

but would require windowsand a mini-itx/laptop

Well if you plann to do your own circutry you culd buy this in radioshack.

And connect it to a speaker.

The speaker can also be found i radioshack. I have one although you can bearly hear it it is a speaker or you hould connenct the microphone to this.
