Quick $50 bot question about using the code from the tutorial

Do I have to modify the code given to me from the tutorial if I use a different programmer?

For example the tutorial uses the AVR STK serial port dongle and I am using the AVRISP MKII.

If so, would anyone be able to help me make these correction or point me in he direction of a tutorial for it.
