Bearings/Support for base of Robotic arm
« on: September 28, 2012, 08:09:50 AM »
I'm trying to find a simple solution to the base of a robotic arm I'm designing.  Here is the arm:

It's a cylindrical coordinate system robot. I just need it to rotate smoothly and securely at the base without too much play. Any ideas? I've seen old robot designs such as armdroid, but I can't figure out how to do something like that myself.

Thanks,

Dave

Use the hub/axle from a bicycle wheel.
I get paid to play with robots - can't beat that with a stick.
