Microcontroller
« on: October 08, 2012, 02:13:18 PM »
Hey guys first off I'm not sure if this is the right place for this because I'm new but I wanted to build a robot the size of a battle bot with the same power and stuff but lighter, just to mess around with at home. I was going to use two wheelchair motors (24volts) and I was thinking this transmitter http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/0-HRC156751.html  ... But I had no idea where to start looking for a microcontroller or batteries any advice would be awsome.

eBay is always good place to look :)

Also there are several online distributors.

Digi-Key, Newark, Mouser are big ones based in the US.  Futurlec is another one somewhere in Asia, but ships globally, with a much smaller selection.  However, they can have lower prices for very common parts.
